Farm For Orphans and Widows: PAID 5/30/2014
Our ministry has been given 10 acres of land by a village chief, to help us raise food for orphans and widows, especially in that village. This year we will be planting corn, and if the harvest is good the crop could yield up to 100 bags of corn, weighing about 50 lbs each. The only costs left for us to start planting this year is: hiring someone to plow and spray. (The cost for the fertilizer, spray and seed, has already been covered: see pictures here.)
The cost for plowing is $167.
The cost for hiring someone to spray the entire farm is $20

Mason's Farm Needs to Plow His Farm: PAID 5/30/2014
Mason is a blind brother in Christ who farms their 3 acre plot of land to grow food for their family to eat throughout the year. He will grow corn, rice, cassava (yucca), or yam to feed their family of 8. In the past, he has only been able to farm a small section of his land because he does not have the financial means to or to hire someone to plow all of his land, which results in the family running out of food before the next harvest and they experience times of starvation. SCXSC has given them aid consisting of a very large sack of beans, rice and corn. Mason hopes to be planting corn and rice this spring. Plowing plays a very important part of their food, because without it the harvest will be very scarce. It would be an answer to prayer to provide the financial means for Mason's farm this year, to ensure that he and his family will have enough food.
The cost for plowing all 3 acres is $67

Abigail Needs a Bicycle: PAID 4/29/2014
Abigail is a 17-year old student, the oldest of six children in her family. She and her family are Christian and attend a local church in their village. Her father is blind and has trouble providing for the family's needs. Because of her family’s difficult situation, a lot of responsibility falls on Abigail to help her family and especially help her mom, who stays at home and raises the children. Abigail is attending school regularly, so that when she graduates she will be able to get a decent job to help support her family. In the meantime, Abigail's mom is trying to manage without her help while she is at school. Abigail's school is in the next town over and so she has to walk 1 hour and 30 minutes just to get there, and then another hour and a half to get back home to her village.
It would be a tremendous blessing, for both Abigail and her family, if someone would donate the funds for a bicycle to reduce Abigail’s travel time to and from school, to give her more time to help her mom each day.
The cost of a bicycle is $80.

Aaron: SPONSORED
His name is *Aaron and he has been trained as a field dentist and has voluntarily been extracting teeth for the last seven years. He loves Christ and because of his love for Christ, he enjoys serving others. He would like to become a certified dentist and is currently in his second year of college and needs another four years before he can become a certified dentist. I know Aaron and have worked with him at the clinic and would like to see if we can raise support for him so he can complete school. He wants to offer more full dental care - not just tooth extractions. Once he obtains his certification he would remain in Tamale which has a population of 500,000 and only has one practicing certified dentist and continue offering free dental care. If you’re interested in supporting Aaron please let me know. I was thinking if one church cannot fully support him maybe a few churches could pitch in every month. Aaron also heads up the youth group at his church and goes to villages and to teach the Word of God. * Name(s) have been changed for safety reasons.

Motorcycle For Joe: PAID
*Joe and a friend started a church in a village that is located some distance away from where they live. He had been given a motorcycle to use as a means of transportation which made it possible to start this church, and to give the Sunday morning message and to have a mid week bible study. However, recently he had to return the motorcycle. He is able to borrow a motorcycle from another friend, only on Sundays, so that he can continue giving the Sunday morning message, however the loan of the motorcycle on Sundays is temporary. He is unable to continue the mid week study because the only way to get to the village would be taking a taxi there and back - which is cost prohibited. Joe also used the bike he had to go to other villages and show the Jesus Film. Please pray and see if the Lord would
have you meet this brother’s need and be blessed for helping one of His precious children.
For approximately $750 Joe could purchase a new motorcycle and helmet.

Jim: SPONSORED
*Jim has been a Christian 9 years. When he was born, his father was a Christian at that time. When Jim was older, his father made him and his brothers attend church though they did not want to go. When Jim was thirteen he, along with his three brothers, personally accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. After Jim made that decision, their father along with rest of his family went back to being a Muslim. Though Jim’s father no longer required him and his brothers to attend church, they told their father that they wanted to continue going to church. Jim is now 22 years old and is on fire for Christ and desires to reach the lost spread God’s Word to the Muslims. Jim has never stepped foot in a classroom and would like to attend school to get an education and eventually bible college so he can learn more about God’s Word. He does not yet have the finances to attend school and is praying that God will provide a way for him to go. * Name(s) have been changed for safety reasons.

Family Medical Insurance: PAID
They are a Christian family. The father is blind and barely makes a living by farming. The mother stays home and raises the children. Last week their three month old baby came down with Malaria, and as he got worse they had to take him to the hospital. It is normal for people to wait until the last minute when the child is sick, because they can’t afford the medical treatment and unfortunately many babies and young children die because a lot of times it’s too late for any kind of treatment. He had to stay at the hospital for a few days and receive medical care. When you’re in the hospital, they don’t give you medication, they give you the prescription and you have to go buy the medicine. We were able to help with the cost of the medicine, however if someone else would like to bless the family with medical insurance it would help them greatly– see pictures.
The cost of health insurance for the entire family is $50.
